Filson x Birdwell Tac Short 2.0

As two integral brands of West Coast culture, it only makes sense that Filson and Birdwell would join forces again. Improving on their first joint effort, the two drapers have designed the Tac Short 2.0.

The new collab is the brainchild of Filson’s rugged woodsy appeal with Birdwell’s surf-ready style. Using the latter’s Surfstretch technology, this pair of bottoms features a 90% poly/10% spandex makeup with four-way stretch capabilities. Birdwell has also finished the shorts with their signature SurfNyl reinforcements, for an extra dose of durability. And while the updated Tac Shorts are extremely comfortable, they’re also extremely rugged, with a double-needle topstitched construction that’s complemented by reinforced seams.

At the end of the day, comfort isn’t everything, which is why these shorts are also incredibly functional. With its phone-sized utility pocket, extra cargo pocket, and stainless steel hardware, you can rest assured that whatever gear you have on hand is safe and sound. Plus, thanks to the adjustable side tabs, you can practically tailor the fit of these shorts to your liking. Color-wise, the Tac Short 2.0 is available in khaki or charcoal, two subtle choices that go with just about anything.

Like everything you buy from Birdwell, the Tac Short 2.0 is backed by its lifetime warranty. Make the most of summer with the latest collaboration, available now for $140 at Filson’s and Birdwell’s online stores.
