For nearly 48 years, Crosswinds has been a safety net for young people and families in Brevard County, Florida who have nowhere to go.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Great Brevard Duck Race is almost here! If you have already adopted your duck(s), thank you!

If not, you can adopt your ducks online at www.greatbrevardduckrace.com or at Community Credit Union, Launch Credit Union, Sunrise Bank, Addition Financial, Cypress Trust Bank.

Viewers can watch “quack” fun live on Space Coast Daily TV on Saturday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m.

Ducks can be adopted at the duck booth during the Cocoa Village Contest until 2 p.m., and online until 3 p.m. if ducks are still available.

The goal is to have 12,000 ducks adopted and with your help we can make it happen.

For a donation of $5, your duck will be entered in the race for a chance to win 9 fabulous prizes including:

■ The grand prize, a 2022 Honda Civic, free 2-year lease, from Space Coast Honda.

■ A large Big Green Egg grill, nest and accessories, from the Wassi meat market.

■ One month cleaning service for your home (4 cleanings), from Nelson Professional Cleaning Services.

■ A lovely set of Tahitian pearl necklaces with matching earrings, from Bobbi’s in Parkside.

■ Four (4) one-day, two-park tickets to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure from Universal Orlando Resort.

The Great Brevard Duck Race is the premier fundraising event for Crosswinds Youth Services and adopting ducks changes lives.

All proceeds from the event help Crosswinds provide shelter, food, emergency services, counseling and other support to the most vulnerable children in our community in need, especially during times like these.

Crosswinds were able to touch the lives of over 3,000 children, youth and families for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Rubber duckies will race to the finish line to win great prizes for their adopters. Nine lucky winners will be drawn and their names will be announced after the race.

Ducks will be available for adoption until 3 p.m. on race day HERE.

Ducks are also available for adoption at Community Credit Union, Launch Credit Union, Sunrise Bank, Addition Financial, Cypress Trust Bank, and the Spring Fine Art & Craft Fair, March 5-6, and the Central Florida Car Show, March 2. April in Cocoa Village.
