Marriott signs 2,200 rooms in 8 hotels in Vietnam

Marriott has signed a strategic agreement with Vinpearl, one of Vietnam’s largest hospitality and leisure chains, to convert and develop 2,200 rooms in eight hotels in Vietnam.
The collaboration includes the launch of the Autograph Collection Hotels brand in the country, while other planned openings cover the following brands: Marriott, Sheraton and Four Points by Sheraton.

Of the eight hotels, six are conversions that are expected to become part of Marriott’s system later this year.
Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection, hotel in Saigon, Vietnam
Vinpearl Landmark 81, autograph collection
(pictured) is set to serve as the first Autograph Collection hotel in Vietnam. Currently known as Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81, the hotel is located in a 461-meter tower on the banks of the Saigon River and will feature 223 rooms and suites, three food and beverage outlets, 12 reception areas, a business center, spa, outdoor pool areas and fitness center.
Danang Marriott Resort & Spa is expected to fly the Marriott Hotels brand flag following the rebranding of Vinpearl Luxury Danang. Nestled on Non Nuoc Beach, close to downtown Danang, the retreat is expected to feature 200 rooms and suites, as well as 39 villas. Design plans call for five different F&B outlets, eight event spaces, an infinity pool, spa, kids’ club, tennis court, and a host of water sports, including a dive center.
Sheraton Long Beach Phu Quoc Resort is located on the west coast of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island, and is a booming tourist hotspot. Rebranded from the existing Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort, the resort is expected to feature 500 rooms, suites and villas, three F&B outlets, extensive conference space, three swimming pools, a spa and a kids’ club.
Sheraton Hai Phongcurrently known as Vinpearl Hotel Imperial, Hai Phong, has 362 rooms and suites, four food and beverage outlets, a ballroom and four reception areas, a swimming pool, a spa and fitness center.
Sheraton Can Tho Hotel Currently operates as Vinpearl Hotel Can Tho. The 262-key hotel is located on a bank of the Can Tho River, surrounded by multiple attractions. Guests can relax at the restaurant, lobby lounge, terrace cafe and outdoor swimming pool with bar. There’s also extensive event space, including a grand ballroom.
Four Points by Sheraton Lang Son is a 21-storey hotel located in the heart of the charming northern town of Lang Son, offering panoramic views of the surrounding forests and mountains. Currently known as Vinpearl Hotel Lang Son, it is set to become the city’s first internationally branded hotel. The hotel has 127 rooms and suites, four dining venues, a spa and a ballroom.
Two new hotels are scheduled to open in 2025 – the Sheraton Vinh Hotel and
Four Points by Sheraton Ha Giang.
Marriott International currently operates 10 hotels and resorts in Vietnam. The company recently announced plans to more than quadruple its portfolio in Vietnam with a signed pipeline of 30 hotels. This latest transaction brings the company’s pipeline in Vietnam to nearly 40 hotels.
Vinpearl currently operates 35 hotels and resorts in 17 cities and provinces nationwide, with a total of over 18,500 hotel rooms and villas. The cooperation with Marriott International is part of Vinpearl’s strategy to advance and internationalize the brand in the hospitality industry.
