Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) exists to save lives, create great Australians and build better communities. As one of Australia’s most respected community organizations and a global leader in lifesaving, coastal public safety, rescue and education services, SLSA offers many ways to get involved as a volunteer or employee. The Surf Lifesaving Foundation, based in Brisbane, is the national fundraising body for Surf Life Saving in Australia. We rely heavily on community support to continue to provide this vital service which helps keep our beaches safe and protect our Australian way of life.

Our Bowen Hills office is looking for a motivated and proactive member of the sales and service team to join our community fundraising team.

The objective of the Sales and Service Team Member role is to provide customer service support to help generate revenue for the business units.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound and inbound call activities
  • Identify up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Retain the fan base
  • Use the database to create, update and manage fan records
  • General administrative tasks necessary to maintain accurate information
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to supporters and other internal and external stakeholders, displaying a positive, professional and courteous telephone attitude at all times

General

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with duties and responsibilities related to occupational health and safety for employees
  • Any other duties reasonably requested by the team leader or supervisor

Knowledge and experience

  • Experience working in a high volume inbound/outbound contact center
  • High level telephone and customer service skills
  • Experience working with databases and CRM systems
  • Essential sales and retention experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level data processing/data entry skills and attention to detail
  • Professional telephone manner and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize

  • Punctual and reliable
